网页问答助手隐私政策

“网页问答助手”是一款在 Chrome 侧边栏中读取当前网页并调用用户自行配置的 AI 模型服务进行问答的浏览器扩展。

扩展处理的信息

• 当前标签页的标题、网址和可读取正文；
• 用户输入的问题，以及模型返回的回答；
• 用户填写的 API Base URL、模型名称和 API Key。

信息如何使用和传输

这些信息仅用于完成扩展的单一功能：根据当前网页内容回答用户问题。网页内容、问题和必要的对话上下文会由用户的浏览器直接发送到用户自行配置的 AI 模型服务。开发者不运营中转服务器，也不会接收这些内容。

API Key、API Base URL 和模型名称保存在 Chrome 的扩展本地存储中。聊天内容仅保存在侧边栏运行期间的内存中，不会由扩展持久保存。模型服务如何处理收到的数据，受该服务自身隐私政策和服务条款约束。

信息共享

除用户自行配置的 AI 模型服务外，扩展不会向其他第三方出售、出租或共享用户数据。扩展不会将用户数据用于广告、用户画像、信用评估或任何与网页问答无关的目的，也不会允许开发者或其他人员阅读用户数据。

安全措施

远程 AI 模型服务必须使用 HTTPS。为支持用户在自己设备上运行模型，本机 localhost、127.0.0.1 和 ::1 地址可以使用 HTTP。扩展不会下载或执行远程代码，所有可执行代码均包含在扩展安装包中。

数据保留与删除

• API 设置保存在用户浏览器本地，直到用户修改设置或卸载扩展；
• 聊天内容会在用户清空对话、关闭对应标签页或扩展页面被重新加载时删除；
• 卸载扩展会删除 Chrome 为该扩展保存的本地数据；
• 开发者没有服务器端副本，因此无法访问或恢复这些数据。

Chrome 权限用途

• 当前标签页与脚本权限：仅在用户点击扩展图标后，临时访问当前标签页并提取可见网页正文；
• 模型服务网站权限：默认只访问 OpenAI API；用户保存自定义模型地址时，仅申请该模型服务域名；
• 侧边栏权限：用于显示问答界面；
• 存储权限：用于在本地保存模型设置和 API Key；
• 剪贴板写入权限：仅在用户点击“复制”按钮时复制模型回答。

Limited Use 声明

扩展对用户数据的使用仅限于提供其面向用户的网页问答功能。扩展遵守 Chrome Web Store 用户数据政策的 Limited Use 要求。

Privacy Policy

“Webpage Q&A Assistant” is a Chrome extension that reads the current webpage in a side panel and answers questions using an AI model service configured by the user.

Information processed

• The title, URL, and readable text of the current tab;
• Questions entered by the user and answers returned by the model;
• The API Base URL, model name, and API key entered by the user.

Use and transfer

This information is used only to answer questions based on the current webpage. Page content, questions, and necessary conversation context are sent directly from the user's browser to the AI model service selected by the user. The developer does not operate an intermediary server and does not receive this content.

API settings are stored in Chrome extension local storage. Chats are kept only in memory. Data received by the selected model service is governed by that service's privacy policy and terms.

Sharing and security

The extension does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties other than the user-configured model service. User data is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes. Remote model services must use HTTPS; HTTP is allowed only for local services on localhost, 127.0.0.1, or ::1. The extension does not download or execute remote code.

Retention and deletion

API settings remain locally until changed or the extension is uninstalled. Chats are deleted when cleared, when the corresponding tab is closed, or when the extension page reloads. The developer has no server-side copy.

Chrome permission use

• Active tab and scripting: temporarily access the current tab and extract visible webpage text only after the user clicks the extension icon;
• Model service host access: contact the default OpenAI API, or the exact custom model-service host authorized by the user when saving settings;
• Side panel: display the Q&A interface;
• Storage: save model settings and the API key locally;
• Clipboard write: copy an answer only after the user clicks the Copy button.

Limited Use

Use of user data is limited to the extension's user-facing webpage Q&A functionality and complies with the Limited Use requirements of the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.
